Restoration project
Hi All
I had the intention of finishing a project I have started, and the post pictures of the final article here.
Instead it might be easier to link the thread I have started here:
http://www.strat-talk.com/forum/squi...n-project.html
regards
Kyri

I haven't finished it yet, only started it. The guitar I bought was stripped to the wood and needs to be restored to the correct shape and colour, which is what the thread will be about. I only started on it today.
I had debated whether to put the thread here or on strat talk and decided to link the threads.
Guess what - the seller called it a squire so maybe that reduced the competition I am not sure...

Well, I did get a glimpse of it before you started, so it'll be cool to see how your project progresses.

I nearly went for a translucent finish so that the grain could be seen, but due to having to reshape the body prior to spraying, I couldn't get away with it. Here are a couple of options I had along the way with the grain showing through to varying degrees. The white under the pickguard was the original colour which I decided to restore it to, in the end.
I am glad its the colour it is now, after all that.
Regards
Kyri
