That looks amazing! So does anyone know if/how it works if you haven't got a Mac? I REALLY want one!

I didn't realize Garage Band was also available for Windows.

For you guys that are using it, are there any latency issues?

Edit: After a little investigation, it appears the writer of the article posted may have misspoke about a Garage Band version for Windows. I see a lot of links to substitutes for Garage Band to use in Windows but no Garage Band for Windows.

I had that thought... but the point is it's simple and easy. Don't forget you can stop it from doing any BS Digital Modeling or whatever. It's a Cable that could plug into anything with the right sockets so you could stick your amp into the computer !

That's what I'm going to do...
Guitar>FX>Amp>USB Cable>Computer>GarageBand>Rock 'Til I'm Sick...

If you don't have a Mac, check out Reaper or Audacity.

That Mixcraft may be very good. I have Beatcraft, which is from the same company. It is a drum program, very user friendly and uses real, actual drum samples. Sounds like a drummer. Have been using it for some time and the price was right. Plus, you can downdload other drum samples from the web and add them to Beatcraft.

A few years ago I downloaded a free full version of Mackie's Traction recording software, when they were putting out the newer version. When the new one came out I was able to upgrade to the new full version (Traction 2) for $40. It is very user friendly. If not for that I would try Mixcraft, based on my experience with their Beatcraft, which I am still using.

I use the free Audacity and it is as easy as can be. I've recorded in a few "professional studios" and I don't hear any better quality than I get from my Windows PC. Now the effects used in the studio were of a much higher quality than my $140 Midiverb III, but the recording quality isn't much different.
