Looking for demo or cheap version of Pro Tools
Picked up a Mbox2 cheap but can't even test it without drivers. I don't want to buy Pro Tools and then find out the box doesn't work but I don't know anyone with an Mbox2. I understand they used to offer a demo version of protools 7 that would work just fine to determine if my hardware works or if I just have a nice looking paperweight. Anyone got something laying around they aren't using? Did you upgrade to 8 and still have media for 7? Hook a brother up.

Nah not yet, just been busy and have not posted. That is exactly what I am looking for but I can't get it to load on my PC. I printed it out, cut it out with safety scissors, and put it in my cd tray but then it just sits there and makes a noise sort of like when you put playing cards in bicycle spokes.
Seriously though, still looking.

I use Sonar 8.5 Studio and lots of people are leaving Sonar for a free DAW software called Reaper. Reaper can do anything the big guns can do and it is all freeware. They have a lot of dedicated people working there and deep pockets to fund the company. They listen to the users and that is how upgrades are implemented.
Here is the link.

Thanks for the offer and the tip. I'm gonna grab the Pro tools and check out reaper while it is on the way. Thanks guys. I'll credit you on the liner of my first album.

I picked up a new, unregistered copy of PT v7.4 on eBay late last year for $37 delivered. Installed it with the code that came with it and it works great with my digi 002r no problems.
