My HM strat
I actually own two, one of which was my 2nd guitar that I got around '87-'88 but has a broken neck.
I got this one not too long ago because I like the color a lot and I didn't own any thru-neck guitars.
Its a HM3 Squier strat, which is supposed to be one of the higher-end Strats from the HM series.
I also have a regular HM Standard strat but this is not the forum for standards, sooo...here.
I added the pearloid knobs. Those don't come standard on these guitars.

I just came across a Squier SG. Comes with twin Duncan Designed HB pup's 2 vol/2 tone control setup, set neck and a 1/2 style PG. really sweet looking guitar. Didn't know Squier made an SG copy. May have to get it. It is in prime shape and only $125.

My $50 pawn shop Squier Tele Custom came with a pair of Seymour Duncan SH-6 distortion pickups, which are cool, but not the tone I use. I'm replacing them, so if anyone is interested... PM me.

Fender really needs to market these to get the Squier name out there. Too many people think Squier means cheap. Showing upgraded models like this can change that image.

That's a beautiful HM3. I have seen some set necks. Mine and the other one I owned were bolt ons. As for the neck breakage, that's very common with the HM3s. The necks are small. My neck broke but I got some tight bond, sanded it down and applied coats of boiled linseed oil. It looks and plays as good as new.

Wow! I got the same guitar, color too (but of course not the knobs)...
According to what I can find, it was made '89-'90 in Korea... I just replaced the volume pot, pickup switch and the jack, as I got it used and it needed them... The neck is still in great shape and the action is "very good" (excellent being a PRS). You're the first I've found with the same model and color...

Here's my HM-3. The neck pickup is a Bill Lawrence, the middle is an Ibanez, and the bridge pickup is a Schaller. The guitar has also been rewired so that the humbuckers are auto-splitting, in positions 2 and 4, when used in conjunction with the middle pickup.
