An unlikely but great sounding Squier for metal...
...as well as many other styles would have to be the John 5 Tele. What say ye?

what say me? Lol. That's actually the guitar I'm planning on buying soon. The double binding and double buckers really got me excited. Not so thrilled with the headstock or PG, but those are easily fixed/replaced.
Very excited about getting this guitar, plan on hopefully doing a nice review of it too once I get it.

Good choice. It's a great looking guitar that you don't see often... very unique. Post photos when you get it.

Well, I like to rock out - always have - but not really ever quite ventured into Metal other than the old school stuff at the time - Sabbath etc
yeah .. I'm old
But I'd like a John 5 Tele - for sure!
Plenty of uses I could find for a twin 'bucker Tele.
The mirror scratchguard would probably have to go on ebay though ..

Nice guitar, i would like it more if it had a trem, but i guess if I had 2 i could live without it. The Fender version has a trem.

John 5 is a guitar master. Check out some videos on youtube with him, his playing is absolutely mind blowing! To put his name to this model is atestament to Squier quality. I have heard it and it sounds sweet. Too bad there's no lefty version - yet!

I want one of those bad. I played one in a shop a few days ago and offered them a guitar in trade they could easily get 450 for. ( I only paid 300 for it)
They said they wanted 250 cash and my guitar.
Jerks. Another shop offered me 350 trade in value on the same guitar, but they don't have a J5 Squier.

The headstock and guard look good in person. I'd keep it stock. Pups are quite decent.

I guess it depends on what kind of metal you want to play. John 5 is an amazing player, but his hard stuff isn't really my cup of tea. The duel buckers are pretty sweet. And there is NOTHING wrong with Sabbath. Always play Sabbath.

When did John 5 get wrongfully murdered, and subsequently resurrected by a hypnotic Crow?
Just saying.

Hey I can't say much I was a big Alice Cooper fan, actually took my nephew to see the last tour a few years back (he was 15). It's a gimmick that apparently works since everyone knows the name. I've seen a couple of the "less" metal You-tubes and John 5 can really wail.
AC Concert, dinner and a T-shirt $120, the look on his face after the 2nd chord of "I'm 18" priceless!

Nice. I went to my first concert with a friend and his dad in third grade. KISS in full makeup - it was an awesome concert! From when they rose up from under the stage through smoke to Gene Simmons singing God of Thunder hooked to a wire up by th rafters of the arena. Not sure if I've seen a better show since then.

Very sweet looking guitar. Rondo has an Douglas Tele that's real similar with gold trim and black p.g. that's been tempting me.
