Thanks. I have a CV60's also and must say the rosewood board is a pleasure to play. My only mod is going to be a steel tremblock I just picked up from GFS.
Pesky loves those D.Allen pups!

That GFS block is a GREAT upgrade, it made a world of difference in my CV60's tuning stability and intonation.

I have a clip up of my CV 60's w/ D.Allen CS JM 60's they are tone heaven! Check it out on the Pick-up Joint!

Sorry to hear that. The only maple board Squiers I have are the Hello Kitty and my MIM Fat Strat Floyd Rose and I'm not willing to part with either of them yet. There are a few used ones on Guitar Center's website.

Yea, that's my closest store. If you see something you like there you have to call after 10:30AM and tell them to hold it for you. Or somone else may... word to the wise. I've missed out before on the old hold phone call item, even though I was there with money first...

Just for that day. Let me know if you need help I could possibly check something out for ya. You could probably call and purchase it, then they would hold it as long as you want. I suppose you could refund if you found something wrong with it when you went to pick up.

That neck also doesn't have a stripe. Maple without a stripe is just not right.

So are you looking for an older Bullet or the newer Strat Type, I have a deal pending on my Standard, but I recently picked up a MIJ Squier Bullet 1. This is '82 or '83 SQ2xxxxx, and has the Tele style neck. If this is what you are looking for let me know, I am considering throwing it up for sale or trade.

I am looking for a full size, PLAYABLE Strat old or new...prefer real wood not plywood...for a mod platform. Old or new makes no difference, ideally maple board pre-CBS headstock but I will consider the big 70's sized. Inexpensive is the key, do you have pix?

I was at Mr Money yesterday and they have a 2001 Standard. I think it was (black), 2 point tremolo and a maple board for $99
It needed cleaned up but looked like a good buy. I could probably get it for $80 cash. another $15/20 to ship.
But yes, it has the large headstock. I can get pix

Thanks bro..probably not worth the effort though..I was thinking more along the lines of a project guitar, maybe a neck and body minus the H/W for 40-50 bucks..or an old Bullet complete for around 60, 100.00 is more than I want to spend considering I will be re-doing it and have some nice new pickups already.

I do appreciate the heads up!

The Bullet 1's are a slightly smaller body thatn a Strat and the headstock is like a Tele, probably not quite what you are looking for.

i hate CL...in my area, they're just about all flake outs. anywho, i know it's a starcaster but A: i find them to be a good mod platform, they are solid wood bodies, and B: i've done business w/ this guy, very reliable.

So heres a few pics, but from what I see on some of the other replys, I am probably lookin for a little more on this than you are lookin to shell out. It is an SQ series MIJ, although it has a few battle scars, it is still some what collectable. also look at the pots, switches and tuners, definitely higher quality than some of the lower end Squiers. Any way heres some pics.
