i sent their web address to fender this week to ask if these are counterfeit guitars. the reply stated that the issue has been forwarded to their legal department.

My guess is

1) You definitely don't get what is pictured.

2) If you get a guitar, it will be one of the cheapest Chinese knockoffs you can imagine.

3) As pesky alluded to .. return policy? what return policy?

I've heard mixed reviews (mostly bad to be honest). Firstly, YES they're knockoffs. Secondly I've read of at least two that are little more than plywood, one of which didn't even have a truss rod. Thirdly, as has been said, if you get a guitar at all, you don't get what's in the picture.

This is definitely one of those 'Caveat Emptor' things
