Squier-Talk open to wider group
While not completely out of Beta yet, we've decided to go ahead and put links and announcements on all of our other GearTalk Network websites. So, a slightly wider group of folks will no doubt be stopping by.
We will employ much great recruitment efforts in a few weeks or so.
Thanks for all the help from your early adopters.

What are the other sites and why would they bash a Squier? So far I think that many of them are great guitars. I don't think a made in USA fender strat is worth the $$$ for someone who is not recording or making their living with it. Maybe even then some Squiers could still be a great tool for them.

Thanks for a great place for info, etc.
As far as bashers, I prefer to have a mind of my own and not follow what someone else likes to be in. It's like cars too. I've belonged to other forums (car forums) where some are a bunch of butt kissers, Not all. I like what I like and that's it.
But now that I think of it, There are some people who own expensive Fenders and have told us they've played Squier's that sounded like the expensive stuff.
Thanks for listening.....

Agreed
I started learning to play a little over a year ago. I bought myself a $399 EPI SG G400 cherry, and my daughter a $99 black and white Squier Strat. I was jealous of the Strat! The EPI was nice and all, but that 99 buck squier plays like a dream. Long story short.. traded the EPI for a Squier Tele custom and now own 3 bullets. It's proof you can still get alot of bang for your $$

I didn't even know we were still on a Beta... I have wondered how it was working. I know what a Beta test is but I've been under the impression that it was supposed to be limited to a hand selected few. Like in the gaming world where they give stuff to a bunch of people to test out, then they get credited for testing it. Something like that.
Has there been a "population cap" on Squier-Talk? Is that how this Beta has been working?
I'm a major geek but not a skilled computer geek... as far as I've experienced this site has been running really really well. No complaints other than trying to work with the photo album image limit but that's perfectly understandable so I'm mentioning it for no reason I suppose :S
An applaud to you Mr. Squier-Talk
