Is the distance between the frets smaller/shorter ? Any info as what to expect will be appreciated.

Hi NJjoanjettfan,
Sorry to hear about your accident.

Yes, the current Jagmaster is 24" scale. I'm a beginner, struggling with the "basics" at the moment. The first electric I bought, and began practising on, was a Jagmaster. I now recently got myself a Squier CV50's Strat as well, and I was surprised at how different they felt compared to each other. I find the Jagmaster much more comfortable to play, fret distance being shorter, a little less tension on the strings and the neck overall feeling a bit smaller. I definitely think You should give it a try.
cheers
