I love it that the songs are short! No padding. Also love the fade outs at the end, makes me feel like it's just a snippet from a longer jam. But to each his own. Of course he has some 5+ minute songs too.

There are a couple of DVD of his own. JJ Cale live in paradise studios 1979 is my fave. That DVD has some longer audio versions of a few album tracks as an extra.
