I've never played a Cube 30, but if it's a good deal, my advice would be "go for it". It's hard to go wrong with a BJr and as I said above, I gigged with a 5-piece band for years (as the lead guitarist), playing Blues, R&B, and Classic Rock. There was volume to spare, and that tube tone is sooooo sweet.
